Critique for critique - Ten chapters (for now) Chicklit / Young Adult / Teen fiction

SERVICE OFFERED: I will critique the first ten chapters of your book and post comments on each chapter to let you know I have read them.

  • Chicklit
  • Young Adult
  • Teen fiction
  • Poetry

I generally read any genre and am not picky, but from my past experience, I have seen people who write these genres enjoy my story more. Besides, ten chapters is a lot.

Feel free to respond if you write other genres, but my assumption will be that my genre is your cup of tea.

It would be great if you could critique the first ten chapters of my story. Please read the blurb before you respond to see if it piques your interest.

Since ten chapters is a lot, let’s give each other up to 1 month to complete the reading.

After reading the first ten chapters, if we are still interested, we can decide on PM if we want to continue.

Let’s do this and empower each other.

Limiting this to 10 requests for now, based on first come first served basis.

Every story posted here will be acknowledged with a reply, so you know I am taking your request.

This idea is awesome and I think it will benefit writers new and already established!!

I’m currently promoting my psychological thriller, Inverted. Hopefully it’ll pique your interest!

Hi there, how are you?

I’d like to drop my link, and be friends with you if possible :grinning:
Even though I don’t know if my book is to your liking.
But I’ll drop my chapter 1 link.

I hope you can consider mine.
Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

I was Adam’s wife, nothing more, nothing less. I was the perfect wife, ever the obedient, always patient. I did everything they told me to do–everything he told me to do, but in the end, none of it mattered.
My name is Eve, and I just got kicked out of Heaven.

Here’s mine:
You can read chap 1 if you’d like, but I recommend reading the prolouge first to clarify how Oliver and Lola first met.

Summary: Lola and Alex Bombay aren’t normal fraternal twin siblings-- they are also cartoon black cats drawn from magical paint. Because of this, they are abducted by an evil mafia group called the Red Hook, whose goal is to harvest the paint out of all of the toons in their area for an unknown purpose. Lola escapes, and she meets two good Samaritans: A journalist named Oliver McNeil and a woman police officer named Carrie Harrison. Can these three work together to solve the mystery of the Red Hook and stop them before it’s too late?

Thank you for your interest @kmmmcekd , @Sohlll and @GamerKatt98. I will complete reading your first chapters within the next 24 hours.

@kmmmcekd, @Sohlll and @GamerKatt98, I have completed reading and critiquing the first chapters of your stories. Thank you for checking out my work as well

Now open - Read for Read - First chapter (for now) Any genre

I think this is a really good idea, everyone needs a little (gentle) constructive feedback when they’re new to writing. Here’s the link to mine.

Thank you for your interest @KarisMing. Look forward to checking out the first chapter of your work.

Harley James, a troubled young man with a past as deep as the ocean and Cassie Dawson, a girl who had serious issues were two of the students who inhabited Bispham Academy, a college for delinquents. These students have enough to deal with, let alone be involved with someone from Bispham Academy.

Trigger warning, difficult themes, swearing, smoking and alcohol inside.

This is a teen fiction/romance. I’m looking forwards to reading yours!

Hey there. I’d love to exchange critiques. The first couple of chapters have been edited (I know there’s still mistakes though). My story is called The Beard.
