“A smile is a curve that sets everything straight”
Don’t know where it is from but made it my motto for years

Also " On perd sa vie à vouloir la gagner, tu devrais y penser" from a French singer, something my dad used to sing me a lot. It translates to “We are loosing our lives trying to win it, you should stop and think about this”. The songs talks about a dad who never takes time with his family because of work and money and now has lost so many precious memories and moment he can’t have back.

“We plan our lives according to a dream that came to us in our childhood, and we find that life alters our plans. And yet, at the end, from a rare height, we also see that our dream was our fate. It’s just that providence had other ideas as to how we would get there. Destiny plans a different route, or turns the dream around, as if it were a riddle, and fulfills the dream in ways we couldn’t have expected.”
