#548

#549

Salutations. Do you require any coding assistance?

#550

I need some help with this coding. This is what I have so far:

R U L E S
1. no thread hopping

2. please be patient, estimated wait times average 3-7 days

3. i require at least 1 image reference

4. if you are unsatisfied with your cover, i am willing to edit it

5. if you use your cover, please use for at least a week

6. all i ask is credit in the blurb of your story

<span style="font-size:; display:block; text-align: center; width: 300px; height: 600px; background-image: url('http://i67.tinypic.com/e5kynm.jpg'); margin: auto;"><br><br><br><br><br><br><span style="font-size:; display: block; border-style: solid; margin-left: 24px; margin-right: 24px; margin-bottom: 270px; padding-top: 3px; padding-bottom: 3px; color: #F5DEB3;"><span style="font-size: 22px; display: block; font-family: quicktype; color: #FFFAF0;"><i>R U L E S</i><br><span style="font-size: 12px; display: block; font-family: quicktype; font-variant: small-caps; letter-spacing: 2px;">1. no thread hopping<br><br>2. please be patient, estimated wait times average 3-7 days<br><br>3. i require at least 1 image reference<br><br>4. if you are unsatisfied with your cover, i am willing to edit it<br><br>5. if you use your cover, please use for at least a week<br><br>6. all i ask is credit in the blurb of your story</span></span>

I want to get 2 boxes at the bottom like here:

#551
  1. I’m not sure if you know this but each theme has its own default font color. If you don’t specify a font color, Discourse changes the font color to match the respective theme. So… on my theme of choice (light), I can’t see any of the text in your yellow box unless I highlight it with my cursor.
  1. Like… where? I’m not sure if you haven’t edited the reference in yet.

#552

The reference must not have loaded. Here’s a link to it: https://imgur.com/a/Ia004ky

I specified a font color for all the text. Does it work now?

Yeah, I can see it now.

Anywho, the best way to get boxes side by side is to use display: inline-block

Here’s a super basic example of me using it:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nunc facilisis, nibh at aliquet mattis, dui dui aliquam quam, vitae rutrum sapien libero eget orci. Vivamus nisi dui, maximus dapibus luctus eget, hendrerit ultricies eros. Nullam mollis nunc justo, vitae ornare augue bibendum at. Praesent fermentum nibh quis nibh suscipit posuere. Donec vitae felis ultricies est consectetur congue. Vestibulum tincidunt sodales nulla, quis viverra purus tincidunt nec. Let me know if that helps answer your question.

#554

Such a random question but…

where do you get images off the internet?

for example… a while ago you could simply google a type of image and easily copy it but now you can’t…

So do you use a particular website? (like for gifs most use giphy)

I mean I guess I could save the image to my desktop then post it but… that just seems like a lot of work…

#555

never mind… I found out something xD

#556

I mostly just use Google.

Why doesn’t that work anymore?

#557

So before I could click on the image and it had a button that went right to the image not the website, and you could copy that link. But now it only has the button to go right to the website. (I feel like I’m not explaining it that well xD)

I found out that if I right click over the image I can copy the image’s address and viola

#558

Ah, I see what you mean now.

Right-clicking is what I always do. :lumi:

#559

Okay so in this image it like gets repeated, how do I make be only once?
also how do I center the text?

hi
boop
beep
boom

#560

background-repeat: no-repeat;

text-align: center;
