Queries without protagonist's name

I’ve read a few stories where the protagonist isn’t named with valid reasons (as in officially published), but I always wonder how this is handled in queries and synopses of successful queries. Anyone happen to know?

Honestly, I think it’s a case-by-case thing. I might start with “The (unnamed) protagonist” and work it out from there.

It’s okay, Blayde. It doesn’t bite.

I’ve been in the old club and wondered why there was no activity. I finally found this.
It sure seems cumbersome to use.

Why didn’t it put [XimeraGrey]'s name in my reply to her?

It put my name above the post on the right side.

I missed that. Thanks.

I also learned if you highlight something from the post you’re replying to, it puts it in the post (like in this one).

Thank you! I had wondered about that.

And if you @ and then start typing a user name it will find the person to tag. Its like FB tagging
