Real life stories (no supernatural)

Hey everyone, hope you’ll use it at the fullest. In here, we’ll focus on real life. Like stories that could happen in the real world. Nothing supernatural please.

Post your newest books, ask for feedback or help, or just have a nice conversation about whatever in here. Also recommend stories, if you’d like.

As long as you keep it real and have a good time, then let loose.

I think you’re in the wrong section. This belongs in ‘story recommendations’.

Hey, @oliviarose85 is right, this thread does belong in the story request section, so an ambassador will probably move it for you, but if you’re looking for real world short stories, you might like to check out my story Abandoned Beach

This is my story ‘Try’.. It’s an ongoing story, but I’m updating regularly.

Eighteen year old River has been struggling with chronic pain for years. She keeps people at a distance, because she’s afraid of being a burden to them, until she meets Dawson. He is the first person that is able to make some cracks in River’s walls, but will he be able to tear them down completely?

“You say that illegal passion’s vile. Lies! Its legal passion that’s vile, because it has lost that mysterious, that sinful, that torment that tears you apart.” The story of three friends who randomly find each other, tasked with the mission to find out what love truly is.

Innocent Emily Kim

“What do you want,” she repeated.

“Break up with Axel.”

Her eyes widened, mouth opening slightly. Aiden’s eyes darkened, looking at her parted lips.

“Close your mouth, baby, or I might have to close it for you.”

Emily is in love with Axel Armstrong. She would do anything to get to know him better. When she finds out he needs her help, she’s willing to be his fake girlfriend, if it means that she can be romantic with him.

But what happens when Axel’s brother, Aiden, steps into the picture? And why is he so determined to break them up?

I think this qualifies as a real life story, as I draw from real life experiences of living with a disability.

Because you’re different

What if your body doesn’t always do what you want it to do?

For June, this isn’t a question, but a daily reality. As a fourteen-year-old with cerebral palsy, frequently dropping stuff and being stared at by complete strangers is nothing out of the ordinary. Other than that, life is great, until her parents decide to move to California.

With all her friends miles away and nobody there to protect her from boys stealing your lunch, school becomes a lot more complicated than it had been. Then, she befriends Sam Redstone, a shy boy who’d always been invisible to others.

June’s days improve drastically with Sam by her side, and when she meets his older brother Nathan, she finally believes her cousin Valentina might have been right about sexy California guys. Slowly, she and Nathan develop a unique friendship, one that, June finds herself hoping, might someday turn into something more. But as the years go by, she’s starting to think she might never be with him that way, or any other man for that.

Nothing supernatural in my recent and very relatable story, Heart to Hart.

At eighteen years old, mistakes are bound to be made and Natasha can’t seem to stop making them.

First, she leaves her friends and home behind all because she couldn’t face her ex with her new replacement. She is convinced the change of scenery will magically transform her.

When she realises she was wrong, she returns only to find that cracks are starting to show in the perfect family her mother tries to portray them all as.

Max, her ex-boyfriend, is suddenly single. Will she be quick to forgive and let him use her all over again?

Then there is Alec, her childhood best friend. Sian has warned her not to cross any lines in their relationship but what harm is a little kiss among friends?

Natasha is about to find out, the hard way, that every action has a consequence.

When Trouble Comes

Blurb: Actually, I have 2 blurbs but haven’t decided among them yet.

After her family’s murder, Alyssa Taylor is forced to move to Mel’s Town. Staying in Winchestor would kill her … it had already started doing so.

Her very first day results in her developing a sour relationship with the obscure and bitter Jason Rios, who seems to have even more secrets that Alyssa does…

Nevertheless, everything seems to be going well … until a girl is murdered, and Alyssa’s past memories come to haunt her. The killer could be anyone among them…

It could be Alyssa herself. It could be Jason. Or…it could be Karson, a suspiciously mysterious new comer into Alyssa’s life. He seems to know all about the murders and her past.

Alyssa figures out – he is not who he seems to be.

Question is: Is he an ally or an enemy?

Only…Alyssa’s heart doesn’t seem to want to make him the enemy, whereas Jason is certain he is.

When Alyssa Taylor arrives at her new school, she immediately falls in trouble with the school’s bad boy, Jason Rios, and becomes best friends with his friend, Jaden Smith.

But then Alyssa finds out that there is more to Jason than the mere delinquent that he seems to be…

What happens… when he falls in love with her, but a new boy in school, Karson Magellan, gets closer to her than Jason ever can?

And what happens when Alyssa realizes that Karson knows more about her traumatic past than anyone else? Karson is not who he seems to be. Question is : who is he - an ally or an enemy?

Will Alyssa’s heart survive hatred, dark pasts, conflicts and burdens more than her shoulders can carry?

Gracie (Grace) Anderson stops believing in fate and soulmates, when her four-year relationship ultimately falls apart within seconds of being in a bathroom stall. When she craves revenge on a drunken whim- She falls victim to divine intervention and an unexpected surprise from her own mistakes.

“Do you want me to help you forget about him?”
I bite my lower lip and look up at his gaze. Feeling dizzy from all of that drinking- yet, I still want this. I want them all to feel pain. I’ve never wanted anything more.
“I want to forget.” I simply say.
He leans in and gives me a soft, yet tender kiss.
Pulling back, I catch him grinning at me. I feel myself blush and leaning back in- knowing where this is going to go.

I would say both these stories are grounded in reality.

"Natara tries not to think about how warm and firm his body is, how amazing he smells, or the fact that Mr. Vice is her boss. Doing this shouldn’t make her feel this good."

Apparently it’s one devilish heir to the company. And she’s his new secretary.

When Ash comes out as a lesbian to her friends, they tell her they don’t think her one G-rated high school relationship is enough to represent all of boy-kind.
