Stories with a Female Lead ||CLOSED||

Here, you get several!

The current year is 396 9E. The Twenty Year War has ended, giving rise to a new era of fear, oppression, and doubt.

As the dust settles, 18-year-old Angela Siegfried seeks a career in State Affairs, hoping to bring order to a fractured society… That is, until a visit to her estranged father leads to an encounter with Aurin “the Butcher” Alcoleiz, a ruthless criminal and powerful mage.

Grey Reynik joins a State Affairs special task force to investigate Angela’s disappearance, vowing to do whatever’s necessary to bring her back… even as he crosses the point of no return, and the sacrifices pile up like so much rubble.

Little do any one of them know, a larger game is being played than they could ever have predicted.

Chapters are released on Fridays, and Saturdays.

You can always check out my work in progress, Daughters of Fate

Depending on how you look at it, it has at least 2 major female leads and a bunch of other female characters playing major roles too. But, like I said, its a WIP.

Title: Saphrezdako and Her Origin Story

Series: Saphrezdako (Book 1 - female main character - Birth to Age Twenty-Seven)

Saphrezdako thinks she is just a normal human, but she is not she is an extraordinary or abnormal Human. She goes on a trip that she had won and the trip was to outer space. The trip to outer space and her Elf DNA combined with Space Radiation and some Solar wind changed her to be stronger and more magical than before. Also, she still does not know that she has a magical bloodline.

My female lead starts off really insecure/weak in the beginning, but the point of the story is about her character development. After a traumatic experience, she finds solace in a guy she falls in love with in college. However, the relationship she has with him isn’t as perfect as it seems to her, and she goes to an abundance of circumstances that lead her toward her actual destiny.

Not sure if it’s what you’re going for, but I’ll leave the synopsis and link below for you to check it out if you’d like

Gracie (Grace) Anderson stops believing in fate and soulmates- when her 4-year relationship ultimately falls apart within seconds of being in a bathroom stall. When she craves revenge on a drunken whim- She falls victim to divine intervention and an unexpected surprise from her own mistakes.

I’m actually starting a story with a female lead that is attempting to save her family’s lives without being caught and murdered by a corrupt government.

I have finally started it and here is the link if you want to take a peak:

I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for or not, but I’ve got a female lead

Title: Creatures Among Us: Everescent Guardians (Book 1)
Genre: Fantasy

The majority of my stories have female leads. If you want a strong character, you’ll love The Burden of Broken Hearts on @leighyeann. Warning: LGBT+ themes are present.

My story “Shangri-La” has a female lead:

My story has a female asexual lead and a lot of LGBT+ women minor characters and antagonist.

The Disappearance of Medora Izumi

It is a supernatural drama with themes of abuse, gaslighting, violence and body-horror, trauma, and light mentions of homophobia and sexual assault, but I do have the intention of wrapping the series on a hopeful note.

Hi! is fantasy story ok for you? Plus I still in the “fetus” stage right now, so I’m just making sure before giving mine.

Title: Demon of the Night

Summary: Barbara Gordon, daughter of the police commissioner, is determined to follow in her father’s footsteps. After a series of brutal murders and disappearances occur around Gotham City, she begins her own investigation into who- or what- is behind these slayings. However, as she gets closer to the truth she finds herself tangled in a game of mystery, the supernatural, and pure evil.

Hi! I’m in the process of writing a medical fiction story that has mystery, adventure, love, and a whole lot of character development. I love stories with deep characters with intricate pasts and am especially partial to those with strong female leads. The story focuses on a doctor who takes on a research fellowship to solve a medical mystery. I’m going to try to update it as often as possible.

Would love to hear any feedback if you get a chance to try this out

For full disclosure, the story is told from the POV of an adult male, but I have just introduced the female lead in Chapter 2. I hope she can be a formidable and empowering character! I’ll also be introducing another strong female character (this time a child) in the next chapter.

Title: Dewdrops

Genre: General Fiction

A doctor who hates patients.

No other description suited Anthony Stanton better than that. Arriving at the esteemed Manifort Hospital, Anthony has only a single goal in mind: to complete his three-year research fellowship in the States and return as quickly as possible to England. However, as he steps into the lobby, little does he expect the adventure that awaits him, filled with heartbreak, unspeakable demons from his past, and a young girl, who will change his life.

“Speed Racer meets Bladerunner with a dash of Mad Max: Fury Road”

In a distant future, the roles between man and machine have reversed. Androids now dominate the ruling class and humans have been demoted to below indentured servants, traded and sold with as much regard as livestock.
Seventeen-year old Mar is one of those indentured servants, who spends her days fixing up cars for Hatsuimoto, her cranky owner with a gambling problem, and repairing small electronics on the side. But after the devastating imprisonment of her best friend and the loss of her mother figure, Mar finds herself as one of the next contestants in the most perilous race of the year. The Dead World Prix is a two-week spectacle of humans driving a circuit full of obstacles and challenges in pursuit of a massive prize, including the distinct benefit of becoming a free citizen, just like the androids. There’s only one catch: no one has won the race in its 25 years of existence.
That’s where she meets Kit-an android disguising himself as a human-that she just can’t seem to stay away from. As their paths intertwine, the two find themselves falling in love with each other; but with death and danger littering every mile of the circuit, the realities of the race become mortally apparent. Just as Mar is ready to give up and accept the race as a death sentence, she uncovers powers hidden within her and sets out on a path of vengeance, not just to finish the race but to reset the balance between humans and androids.
I look forward to any reads and comments! Thanks all in advance!

Even though the first chapter is written through the eyes of my male lead, I consider my female MC the main protagonist with a dominant power over the male. Would you be interested? I personally like my story because of the undaunted/daring personality of my female lead.

Title: Elysia: The Wasteworld
Genre: Adventure/Dystopia/Fantasy
Blurb: The world is in catastrophe. The Great War has devastated the globe. All governments have lost their power and the systems that hold everything together are falling apart at the seams. And then there is Elysia–the last standing paradise on Earth. However, it is in a secluded place, out of reach of anyone who is ineligible of entering the city. Would Erik, a reckless blond boy with a Cadillac and Jessica, who grew up to be a ruthless, independent woman, be able to team up and reach Elysia in search of a new life and everlasting bliss?

I’d rather know exactly what a feminist is? I always get conflicting answers on how a feminist would define a strong independent woman (I’m genuinely interested!)

Hi! Well if you like sci-fantasy, coming-of-age and action/adventure in a mysterious virtual reality… I can recommend my 100% female-driven story ^.^ It sure is one about empowering women.

Ongoing, but I update once a week

My female OC is… different. Her character arc is a positive one, but it’s a long road to get there!

My fanfic Leave A Scar (Fullmetal Alchemist) is updated daily and almost complete!

AU. After the defeat of Father, Ed and Al fail to get their bodies restored. They’re still searching, but with a sudden strange power, and a bounty on Edward’s head, things aren’t going to be easy. And despite what the brothers say, I’m not doing them any favors, either.

[Ed x OC]

Now, when two troubled sisters—Mara and Nico—drop in on their party, they witness Mara’s rage and fury come upon them, while Nico watches in horror and tries to calm her down. Yet in the tragedy of Mara’s actions, Nico witnesses a miracle and entrusts this trio to save Mara from her own fate.

In accepting Nico’s promise to help her sister, Colbie, Celia, and Kendra take on a self-proclaimed judge of the living and the dead with a plan for everyone involved.

Days of Blood and Roses:

You might give my story a try. Character driven fantasy romance taking place on a derelict island that exists parallel to modern-day earth. It alternates between two primary protagonists, and one of them (Taly) is female. She’s not perfect, and she’s made a lot of mistakes. But she always gets back up.

Completed with a sequel on the way.

When Taly was only six years old, a horrific fire swept through her village, stealing away her home, her family, and every memory of her previous life. Fifteen years later, she finds herself living on Tempris, a derelict island on the fringes of the once-mighty fey empire. Living as a human among a race of powerful and immortal mages, Taly is treated as barely more than an animal. They even have a name for her kind: shardless.

Still, Taly considers herself lucky. Taken in by a prominent fey lord, she’s lived a comfortable life. But when an accidental brush with magic causes her to see things - ghostly apparitions that give her small glimpses into the future - she quickly finds herself in a very dangerous situation. The Sanctorum has returned to the island, executing anyone showing signs of time magic. If they find her, they’ll kill her… and anyone that tries to protect her.

Fearing discovery, Taly leaves home, abandoning her old life and everyone in it. It’s just too bad her best friend refuses to let her go… And despite the risk, Taly finds that she doesn’t really want him to.

Now Taly’s life is about to change again. An ancient evil is rising - with its eyes set on conquering Tempris. In the face of this new threat, will Taly be able to keep her secret? Or will she be forced to face her fears in order to save the people she cares about?
