The 500 Word Weekend Write-In Discussion Thread

Anyone compiling a full list?

just published a story called Stash

oh this sounds exciting

Orumeena’s Stash is here:

You got a full list for us lazy ass types!?

We’re on our own until Twoogle returns. Best to have just have our ‘friends’ post the link for us.

I’m almost finished mine. I couldn’t get to finish it yesterday.

Hi, I posted here a while back, but stopped about the first week of November due to a family emergency. The prompt that week was “ruin,” and my story definitely fits that, as well as being a Christmas story.

I have been following this thread in the meantime, and noticing how there’s a thing now where your friend posts the link? My story is double the length of what its supposed to be, but if you want to give it a try, I guess someone messages me to find out the name of it. Take care

Hi, Welcome back! We are just using the word ‘friend’ because you are not allowed to post link to your own story, so some have got a little creative by telling us about their ‘friend’ who wrote a story, and linking to that  Or if you don’t want to do that, if you post the name of the story here, somebody here will try to find it and post a link to it. The reason we are doing that is because the WattPad (WP) search function, using the two tags (#weekendwritein and the weekly prompt tag), is barely working; it’s taking almost two weeks for some stories to appear, where it used to take a couple of minutes. WP are aware of it and trying to fix it.

Okay, my friend’s story is called “Pre-K Anarchy.” (Tomorrow I’ll see the person this story is based on!)

Here’s the link to my friend’s story:

The 500 word weekend write-in prompt for Dec 28 2018 is now available:

[The 500 Word Weekend Write-In]

500 words, with a new prompt every Friday. Everybody is welcome!

Good morning to you all! I trust you have all survived the over-indulgence of Christmas fare? Well, I am still working on that, I must admit.

Anyway, I was nudged awake this morning by another musical notification that my scribbling buddy had found the latest prompt. Hope you enjoy this one, she says…

Do you suffer from JINGOPHRAXIA? If so you should read this awareness piece written by a friend of mine. If you don’t, please still read and help spread awareness of this terrible affliction.

It’s been more than 24 hours, so: Music of the Spheres

Hours is so 2018. Now it’s called 24 days.

“If. Was to do it by the book, then what would take hours would take days.”

A dame from Downunder [NOT Dame Edna Everage], with her last ‘flasher’ of the year insisted that -

It’s just NOT Cricket

Emerging from my long swim through legend and folklore of the past… Look at this! A tale from the far future: “Marauder.” This writer doesn’t seem to know how to stay in the 500-word limit, though.

My imaginary friend writes rubbish, but I thought I’d give him a plug anyway:

“There are always possibilities.”
