I’ve heard from several sources that you shouldn’t have more than two fonts in/on your book (one for the chapter headers, one for the body). I agree with this, I think it’s nice and simple, but recently I ran into a problem. There’s an instance in my book where I include Cyrillic letters and I cannot for the life of me get them to present in anything except Cambria. Is it alright if I leave it like that, or will it give people Writer/Reader Heart Attack?
Are you talking about a finished self published book formatted for readers? Or a manuscript formatted for submission to agents?

You’ll be fine having that third font just in the situation you mentioned. It’s not unusual to have an extra font for situations like that.
