I grew up in MN, learned to sail with my family on White Bear Lake. As I grew older i wanted to sail on a bigger lake, a much bigger lake. I moved to Florida, bought myself a boat, and then sailed down into the Caribbean, where I sailed for 20 years. doing everything from varnishing to becoming a US Coast Captain license. Eventually. I ended up owning a sail loft in St. Thomas making new sails for all my friends in the charter industry. So when you become a sailmaker, you get to ride on some spectacular boats, racing them all around the Caribbean Islands. and as word spreads, I ended up racing all over, from California to the east coast, and many spots in between. Such as the Great Lakes, and then up and down the eastern coast, and more lakes than I can remember. Eventually tossing my anchor out in the western mountains of NC. Where I remain to this day.
